My journey into the world of data analysis truly began during my undergraduate studies. While pursuing my BBA, I was introduced to a captivating course: business analytics. This was where I first understood the power of leveraging data and technology to make informed decisions, igniting my passion for the field.

Eager to apply this foundational knowledge, I secured an entry-level data analyst trainee position. This was a pivotal experience, as it quickly evolved into a full-time role. During this hands-on period, I witnessed the incredible depth and practical application of data analysis firsthand. I saw how advanced techniques like machine learning and neural networks were being used to predict complex outcomes, solidifying my determination to master these methodologies.

To deepen my expertise and formalize my skills, I pursued an MSBA degree at UCO. This program provided an immersive and much deeper understanding of critical areas such as DBMS (Database Management Systems) and the practical application of machine learning using both SAS and Python. A highlight of my academic experience was the capstone project, where, under the invaluable guidance of Professor Ho-Chang Chae, my group—affectionately known as the "Saints"—tackled a challenging real-world problem: predicting credit card defaults for Amex, with a specific focus on the influence of immigration status. This project not only sharpened my analytical skills but also underscored the importance of data-driven insights in financial risk assessment.

Beyond my academic curriculum, my passion for data exploration continued. I undertook a personal project analyzing Oklahoma crime rates, meticulously collecting and interpreting ten years of data from the FBI database to identify patterns and trends, showcasing my ability to work with large, complex datasets.

Further demonstrating my practical application of data management, I had the unique opportunity to assist Ceaspay, a FinTech company, which, prior to my involvement, lacked any form of organized data storage or analytical capabilities. I took on the challenge of building their digital presence and data management system from the ground up. This involved creating a comprehensive website and developing its robust backend capabilities using Google Firebase. This crucial project enabled Ceaspay to securely store vital customer data, track agent performance, monitor customer statuses, and empowered customers to create their own access and engage with services directly through the new portal.

Through this comprehensive journey—from foundational education and practical industry experience to advanced academic projects and full-stack data infrastructure development—I have cultivated a robust skill set in data collection, cleaning, analysis, modeling, and visualization. I am now equipped and eager to contribute as a Data Analyst, transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions and solve complex business challenges.
